Hello my lovely people! I hope you all are having a fabulous week and reaching your goals you set out to do. I don’t know about you, but when I’m not staying consistent to my workout routine my food habits tend to go out the window as well. I try not to be too hard on myself when I miss a workout, but the truth is,workouts for me aren’t JUST about trying to look fit and lose weight. It is something that makes me FEEL good and builds my confidence everytime I complete a workout. Body positivity has become such a huge topic and it’s so easy to preach that we should love ourselves in every shape and size, but it’s harder to tell your mind to think the same way (this is something I struggle with daily)! My trouble area for me are my arms and of course belly. You will almost never see me in anything sleeveless because I am so self conscious about it. One piece of advice I can give you > surround yourself with other confident women in every every shape, size and color. My best friend Kala talked me into embracing my arms and to just wear the damn tank top because I like it! I wanted to share photos of the “real” me even if it isn’t the most flattering angle or image.
Like I said, I love staying active and trying out new things. We decided to try out Tribe Yoga at the Tchoup Yard. Yoga is something I have a love hate relationship with so to make myself go, I went out and bought some new active wear. I am totally a VSX lover and I don’t mind paying a pretty penny for good quality workouts clothes, but I’ve heard great things about Old Navy’s line of active wear. My whole outfit as well as Kala’s can be found at your local Old Navy or online! I love the bright colors and patterns they offer as well as the “super high rise” fit of these pants.
